Hello,
I am used to require PPAP to suppliers for mechanical parts.
But I don't know really what to ask for electronics like PCB.
I've heard about AECQ100 and AECQ200.
What else is specific to electronics ?
Many thanks in advance,
Valérie

Are you design responsible, or is your customer?

Hello,
We are design responsible.
Regarding the electronics, we are doing co-development with our supplier.

In addition to things like a control plan and process FMEA, the core of PPAP is inspection of three areas:
Dimensional - This may not seem important on a PCB, but there are typically spacing requirements for UL/CSA, etc. Dimensional requirements on interface connectors would be important. Maximum lift off of components are important to shock and vibe perfromance.
Material - This is important for RoHS and possibly other regulatory requirements
Performance - Definitely a requirement for populated PCBs. All sorts of electrical performance requirements.

I have no idea about AECQ100 or AECQ200
but I think PPAP is not only for mechanical parts , is suit to electronic parts too
