View Full Version : ISO 17025 definitions - Requirements for document management system

Hi

I need help with teh definitions required for a document management system. Specifically:

- characterization of behaviour realized by one or more versions of a part or a product, or a subset of a product;
- characterization of behaviour not realized by a real product but defined only for experimental purposes;
- identification of the interface of a functional unit.

I think this will be in ISO1705, but am not sure.
Any definitions of DMS documentation / characterisation would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gavin

Come on 17025 subject matter experts. Anything that might help?

This is likely ISO 9001, not ISO/IEC 17025.

You could be right Hershal. Maybe the OP will let us know.

It's not 17025 or 9001 language although I think the OP must know this. Can't help with the question whatever it means, but I googled the text and got this ISO/TS standard (part 1705 !!)

ISO/TS 10303-1705:2006
Industrial automation systems and integration -- Product data representation and exchange -- Part 1705: Application module: Functional usage view
ISO/TS 10303-1705:2006 specifies the application module for Functional usage view.

ISO/TS 10303-1705:2006 deals with the representation of information needed to describe the interface to a function and a method to represent the behaviour of the function in a computer based experiment, using a simulation model external to the function detailed definition.

The following are within the scope of ISO/TS 10303-1705:2006:

characterization of behaviour realized by one or more versions of a part or a product, or a subset of a product;
characterization of behaviour not realized by a real product but defined only for experimental purposes;
identification of the interface of a functional unit.
