Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum but am really pleased to have discovered the site. I am now hoping that you can help me.

I have recently been tasked with putting together a summary specification sheet (1 page with picture) of all our products. I work for a company that receives, stores and distributes chilled and ambient food products. Basically, I need to put in place an internal quality inspection process and a timetable on how often we should be doing the checks on each product based on quality parameters, volume, historical performance, risk etc I will then look to create a monthly format report to feed the information into a monthly technical report.

We already have a CCP1 & WP for Goods In and Raw Materials.

Can anyone provide advice or a one page specification/quality inspection sheet -template example?

Thank you.

Welcome to the Cove, Walter.

One page - quite a challenge isn't it?

Perhaps you could group your products (pictures) into groupings that need special care, same temperature range, category, expiry dates and maybe a miscellaneous category for those that do not fit into all the others. Obviously, these can only apply to general care and you need to state somewhere that when in doubt, refer to details that are kept in some specific area.

How big is your page? For an A4 or letter size, perhaps 4 to 5 categories is maximum. Otherwise, if it is too cluttered, it may loose its usefulness.

Thanks Harry I appreciate your valued input. I too though about grouping them together and then putting all the information on an excel spreadsheet with sperate headings and groupings for each category i.e Approved Supplier Index, Raw Material Specification, Quality Inspection Matrix.

I guess I need to develop a RAG single page (A4) summary specs to enable future ease of checking/inspection. Then put together a timetable - how often should we be doing the checks on each product based on volume, historical performance, risk etc.. It's certainly proving to be quite a challenge!

Once again, thank you for your assistance.

Hi, thank you for this - there is certainly a lot of content that I can adopt and use in my own quality check sheet.

Once again, many thanks,

Walter
