Hi Guys,
I have a customer that is using Zeiss with calypso Software v 4.8, with Automated Zeiss probe head. Last time, I used and trained personnel for programming was on a Zeiss with U-Soft in the late 90's. It had a 5 bay rack probing changing system, that I really hated. I believe this Zeiss head has 5 Deg. increments as oppose to Renishaws PH10M or 10MQ. which I'm use to with 7.5 deg. increments. Can anybody give me somepointers for qualifying the probes using the Calypso. PC-Dmis has been the software of my choise for a while. Does anybody know, if it works the same as in PC-Dmis like Definning all your componets to build a probe, or is it entirely a different proceedure?

TIA

Does anyone have something for Persistanto?

Well, I checked. Unfortunately, I don't think I can be of help. My contractor said this is a CMM, and they primarily work on optics. Sorry!:(

You say automatic head, are you talking about the RDS head? The probes are calibrated by selecting the angle rotation. You must first locate the masterball, a simple one point on the top of the masterball starts this process. Then select the probe angle and touch the masterball in a normal direction to the probe angle and it will probe the required amount of points to calibrate.
