Hi all
we are preparing a paper-work of stamp instruction to identify the welder.
Does anyone here knows that how does Europen or US standard represent
of this? is there any standards?

It is appreciated for someone sharing.

Kurt,

I have a list of qualified welders and each one is assigned a unique internal number which is documented in my QMS. After each weld performed, the welder stamps his number next to the weld. Thatīs my internal system...

I do not know of any specific standards that may regulate this, but a start would be to get in contact with the American Welding Socienty : http://www.aws.org

I am sure they can help you...

Hi Ted
Thanks for the reply. This info is from a UK man who share the office with me, He said there is some standards about weld stamp. As we are doing some working for GE's auditing, it seems we need care every smaller things.

Now, we did a document which defines welders' ID and guides detail stamp.

Thanks.
