I have a suppler that is making a material change to an assembly.
Since I have found out there are more changes than I was told. There are making a change in an assembly lube, an assembly Loctite change and a torque spec change.
What should be asked for these changes?

I would first ask why the changes and is your company OK with the changes ? Is there a financial benefit involved ? If OK with the changes, ask for a full-blown, 5-Alarm, Level 3 PPAP. You may also need to solicit PPAP requirements to your Customers (if applicable). :2cents: Good Luck !:biglaugh:

Thanks for the input. Our engineering group is aware of the change and is okay with it.
But shouldn't there be some sort of validation for these changes and if so how would it be represented in a PPAP?

How was the qualification done in the original PPAP? You should know the rationale behind the changes and the potential consequences of them, and your engineering group should determine what, if any, validation is required.

Thanks Jim. I think I have the right path to take now.
