The above question is on a customer survey I have, but I'm not sure what it means or if it is entirely correct? Do they mean which standards are you registered or accredited to? Could anyone re-phrase it better, please. I'm relatively new to ISO so Im not sure of the lingo. Thanks!

My interpretation would be what standard and what version. For example: ISO 9001:2008. But, when in doubt, why don't you ask this customer?

The question is bringing in some amount of confusion for sure. It was not clear to me whether you are asking this question to your customer or it's asked by some supplier to you!!!
In the first case you may perhaps rephrase it as "What is the latest version of QMS are you certified to?" but if it's the second I second Stijloor's suggestion.

I have the same question as Arin... who is asking the question?
If you are creating the survey you want to ask to what ISO standard(s) the supplier is registered.
"Level" is not the term you want to use.
If you are answering the question ,just put what standard(s) you're registered to with the revision.

Only new to the forum and already creating confusion!! :D
Can't ask the customer to do that as its not an actual customer- I was just reading some examples I have as I try to develop my own survey for a supplier!! So you think "level" refers to version?

I think "level" is pretty meaningless now.
But back in the 1994 rev of ISO9000 series there were levels - ISO9001, 9002, 9003, 9004. 9001 was the whole package, the rest had exclusions.
That was done away with in 2000 so now it's only ISO9001.
That may be an old survey you are looking at, so just ditch the term "level"

Ask: What Quality Management System Standard (QMS) certification(s) do you have? (There are more QMS standards than just ISO 9001.)

Thanks that makes sense now. I'd say it could have been an oldish form alright, and thanks S for the suggested wording! Will I ask them separately if their lab is accredited (calibration service provider)?

It mean that what is your ISO certificate, such as ISO9001:2008, TS14001 etc

May I suggest that you also ask what their 'scope of registration' is too. They may offer some services which are not covered by their QMS and also check who awarded the certificate - apparently there are some 'less than credible' CB's out there :notme:
