I am struggling a little bit with trying to really use lessons learned. We do new product launch audits and we also have an online NCR (corrective action) data base, and utilize our FMEAs. I am not sure how i should link it all together, when to report or even how to report.
If anyone can tell me how they best implimented this into their quality sytems it would be very helpful to me.

The best method involves comparing the plan with what actually happens. This means that if your APQP process (automotive or otherwise) is what it should be, there are timelines and expectations for performance. In addition to what goes wrong, it's equally important to look for what doesn't. If key dates are missed, try to discover why they were missed and determine how to avoid the same problem(s) in the future. By the same token, when things go smoothly and deadlines are met, use that knowledge in the future. Emphasize the positive and fix the negative.
