What is the procedure when you click on the hyperlink e.g. see this link will jump to another website?

Thanks

You use 'BB Code' (http://elsmar.com/Forums/misc.php?do=bbcode) - Scroll down to URL Hyperlinking.

Another easy way to do it is to highlight and copy the URL of the page you want to link to (from your browser address bar), type out the text you want to use for the hyperlink (such as 'See this site') and highlight it (select) in your post, and click the hyperlink button above the post editing window--it's the leftmost icon here:

Then copy the URL into the dialog box and hit Enter.

Then copy the URL into the dialog box and hit Enter.Yes. This is the method I've been using for years. Note the icon next to it to the right is the one to break a hyperlink - often used by moderators when links go dead.

A reminder:
When any reader comes across a dead or erroneous link in a post, please click on the "report post" button in the upper right hand corner of the post and complete the dialog box which comes up so a moderator may remove the link and maybe even find a substitute (depending on time and google skill;))

Well, you guys sorta beat me to it. I started an 'instruction' with screen shots. I'll probably follow through with the graphic markups and add it here this weekend.
