Is there anywhere information of what defines a main location and remote location in the certification process ? Can the main location be the corporate HQ and have one or more remote locations where the value addition activities are maximum ?

Can the main location be the corporate HQ and have one or more remote locations where the value addition activities are maximum ?Yes, in the IAF MD 1:2007 Certification of Multiple Sites Based on Sampling (http://www.compad.com.au/cms/iaf/workstation/upFiles/372197.IAF-MD1-2007_Certification_of_Multiple_Sites_Issue1v2Pub4.pdf)document, it is stated: A multi-site organization is defined as an organization having an identified central function (hereafter referred to as a central office – but not necessarily the headquarters of the organization) at which certain activities are planned, controlled or managed and a network of local offices or branches (sites) at which such activities are fully or partially carried out.
