I work for a manufacturer of Child car safety seats (injection molding & assembly through consumer packaging) My ISO NACE Code is DM 35.50. We MAY be moving all molding process' in the next few months. How will this effect our ISO 9001:2000 certification? We ship to North America and Europe.

Well, Greg, depending on what you mean by 'moving all molding process' it can have a wide range of impacts.....Can you tell us more?

GregIt should not affect your certification per se. When you say "moving", I understand outsourcing; is that correct? If so, you have to address on how you outsource the molding processes. If your employee headcount gets significantly affected, the number of audit days, spent by the CB might also change.

I am not sure your NACE code was the most appropriate. To me, DH 25.24 would have been a better one.

All machines and tooling will be moving to another facility. Since this is 50% of our processes it will change many aspects of the ISO certification scope, interaction of processes etc... and potentially effect a customer requirement that we are required to be ISO certified in order to sell to Europe.
