How do YOU all read clause 4.1 note 1?
I am trying to decide - does the "analysis and improvement" refer to the QMS itself, or to the product?
On one we are OK, on the other we may have work to do!!!:notme:
Thanks!

well - 4.1 'e' and 'f' refer to the processes.
I have DNV's Interpretive Guidelines and that whole section talks bout nothing but processes.

Look what is says...
NOTE 1 Processes needed for the quality management system referred to above include processes activities, provision of resources, product realization, measurement, analysis and improvement.
This means that they can be included along with whatever else you include.
NOTES are for informational purposes anyway....Don't get all wrapped around the axle over it

Having said that, with very few exceptions, an organization that is not continually improving their products is destined to business failure.

Improving both QMS and product are essential - but one lends itself to documentation so much easier than the other =)
Yes, Randy, I shall limit the magnifying glass to the SHALLs.
Thanks.:bigwave:

But do be attentive to the NOTES because they can provide great insight and value.
