Greetings to all Registrar Auditors,
I have a basic question regarding the need to "re-certify" my ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor Certification to the new 2008 standard.
Do I need to? My gut reaction says no, since there are no new requirements; however I would like some consensus from some registrars.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

I do not represent a Registrar/Certification Body. However, my answer is no. There is excellent information available here at The Cove Forums about the "changes."
By the way, if you do not work as a 3rd party auditor, "upgrading" would not really of value anyway.

Can you say ISO 9001:2008 3 times, real fast without stuttering?
You can?
Wappety-Bam, you now are updated.
I know it doesn't seem right that it should be that simple, but it is....My update training took me about 1 hour to complete.
There are many web based "transition" courses being offered by quite a few organizations, so if you need a valid training cert my suggestion is find one, do it and update your file.
