What does your country's or city's code (law) say about the placement of sewer lines? We cannot answer a question like that here as we don't know the laws for your area.

tech4arab,
You need to elaborate more - is the sewer open / closed ? Where exactly is this sewer ? Is it a design issue etc

What are the potential effects? Are there aerobic microbes that might escape? What about the workers who do the maintenance--is there a proper disinfection/isolation routine that accounts for them traipsing through the production area while contaminated? These are rhetorical questions; I don't expect you to answer them, but these are things you need to consider, along with local laws and regulations. If you're not familiar with all of the considerations that determine what's acceptable, you need to get familiar.
