View Full Version : Verisys Registrars - Interesting Statements on Their Web Site

I was just reviewing this web site and noticed a couple statements that caught my eye. It says "Verisys Registrars® auditors willingly share ideas that make sense for improving your processes." and also "We offer continuous registration. Your registration is maintained through surveillance audits without the need for multi-day recertification audit every three years."

They are not accredited through ANAB, but IAB. That first statement comes pretty close to consulting, it sounds like to me. I know that auditors are not supposed to consult. And the last statement, well, I'm just not familiar with this method. Is that legit?

Could one of our seasoned CB auditors please comment on this? I guess I just need a reality check.

Thanks! :thanx:

The QMS registrars are in a competetive market. They have to do lot of sales talk to attract clients. The sentences you have quotated are not new. That is the way most of the registrars publicise their services.
I dont think that there is a rule prohibiting the registrars doing free consultancy without charging any fees.
Many registrars have a training wing through which they carry out training activities which is in a way a consultancy activity.
