I was told to get an AIAG publication for FORD packaging. Still trying to get definition from the customer. They didn't say anything about complete Material management. I'll let everyone know.

Section 4.13.3 of the AIAG Materials Management Operations Guideline Checklist gives you about a dozen questions on the subject.

Ford do have a guideline of their own detailing requirements for returnable containers (SMF) called "Packaging Guidelines for Production Parts". You should be able to get a copy from the Ford Standards desk at 313 225-5120.
