Legendary animator, Chuck Jones (http://www.cnn.com/2002/SHOWBIZ/TV/02/22/chuck.jones.obit/), creator of classic cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Road Runner, & Pepe Le Pew has died aged 89 years. When you were a kid was there ever a better baby-sitter than several hours of Looney Tunes & Merry Melodies? Thank you, Mr. Jones for all the great memories and, respectfully, "That's All Folks...."

Those were the only cartoons that I can recall much later in life. Something about them made such a lasting impression.

Yes they are memorable.
Their product carries through on so many levels of comedy that you never outgrow it.
They, along with Charles Schultz, will be sorely missed.:(

I feel very lucky now that my wife took me along 2 weeks ago to see "Bugs Bunny on Broadway" at the Sydney Opera House (http://www.soh.nsw.gov.au).
It was a wonderful experience and bought back so many memories(about 3000 people and about 10 kids.:biglaugh: ) The show also had a small section narrated by Chuck Jones which made it even more special.
It was wonderful art that crossed so many borders.
