Marc,
I know that you like graphics but the new additions are too much for me.
Bunnies OK but the trail of the rainbows is a bit disturbing.

Thoughts anyone

Is this continuous improvement or overkill?

Hey Marc,
Where do you get all these icons from?
And what's this thing that's following my mouse?
:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :vfunny:

Howard,
We seem to have started a new thread each on the same topic at the same time !!!
:bigwave:

Yeah, the trail is rather distracting..

In life, one must try things and as you know - here the theme is EVOP. Just trying some stuff out...

The egg / mouse trail is gone. Too distracting, huh?

Where'd the egg trail go? I found out that if you move the mouse in rapid circles, the eggs never catch you :bonk: Of course, after a few minutes of that, you pitch sidewise on the floor because you're dizzy!:vfunny: :ko: :smokin:

What did I miss?

I'm on vacation this week, had a few minutes to catch up here.

I missed the bunnie/rainbow thingy....

But I like the rest!

CarolX Carol,

It was neat. Pulsating eggs, flashing Bunnies. When you moved the mouse across the screen it had a long comet tail comprised of eggs/bunnies. It gave some others a headache because they couldn't concentrate on that little black arrow we see every day. As one who enjoys a mutiltude of video games, I had no problem with it. It's probably an age thing!:biglaugh: :ko: :smokin:

If you would like, I'll put the graphics back up for a while so people can see them. But I agree that on a daily basis it's a bit much.

You don't need mouse trails to do that....

Man, am I glad someone else noticed the eggs floating around.

After having been a little under the weather with a head cold, I came in this morning and at 5am I visited the Cove. Now, being "under the influence" of cold medicine and watching those eggs fly around, it sort of blew my mind.

I enjoyed them so much I came back for another look and their gone! Talk about a letdown:eek:

Anyways, thanks for the memories Marc...1969 revisited.

There were bunnies too.............right?

For Today ONLY... We return to 1966. Easter after inhaling...

You may have to Refresh your browser window to get the graphics to change.

By the way, what do you all think of the other recent changes? The box at the top with links and the new colours. Comments?

Hold on Energy here we go again!!!!!!! Yippppppeeeee. Here in MI we have these great million dollar electrical signs on our roadways that give us up to date info during your drive. They pass along such good info like "slower traffic keep right", "slow down during bad weather". But this morning it said to Click it or Ticket!!!! I didn't know I needed a seat belt on my office chair tooooooooooo!!!!
I like the updates Marc, looks good and easy to use. Now if I knew how or could change my screen name I wouldn't have that grumpy jar head on my case because his parents copied my name (even if he is older). Just kidding Randy!!!!! Honest it must be the color graphics :biglaugh:

A decorated Easter Egg is following your mouse!

As you've noticed, I've been making some changes to the site. Last night I was visiting the vBulletin site and saw these - a 'holiday' set and thought what the heck. Easter is a Christian holiday and I know to many folks around the world it's not a holiday. But, what the heck. I'm prone to celebrate any holiday, hedonist (the ethical doctrine that pleasure-seeking should be the primary goal of humans) that I am. In the following thread the changes are discussed. The board will be back to 'normal' tomorrow. It's kinda neat, but it is distracting unless, as energy says in the other thread, you're used to video games where there's always a lot going on. Admittedly the mouse trails are way too much for every day.....

Where's the bunny ears Marc?

The graphic changes are great, as for the mouse trails********

My daughter was the last one on the computer last night and I spent 20 minutes in the windows control panel and mouse controller looking for a problem.

No big deal, I havn't been there for awhile and got to clean up a few other things.

As I said, today only for the Mouse Trail Easter Egg. A change in routine, eh?

Al Dyer

Marc,

Those eggs are going to put me into an epileptic fit! Should I take some more Zoloft or just go for the valium!:vfunny:

Sure was a change, I missed a good part of "Coach" on the tube this morning. :bigwave:

I'm gonna crush your eggs Marc:eek:

Marc,
Please pardon my ignorance! I didn't at first realize they were eggs and obviously couln't make a connection with Easter.

Happy Easter All !

See what I mean Marc about the grumpy Marine???? Can't you just vision Randy sitting there cussing at the bunnies & eggs???:biglaugh:

He's probably going over to the box of Peeps and pinching their little heads off!!!!!! (he may be wishing they were me when he reads this)

:biglaugh: :vfunny: :smokin: :D

Unfortunately, it's not that fancy of a javascript to work it like a game, but it sounds like fun!

Chicken and egg recipes, anyone?

Randy
26th March 2002, 02:14 PM
I don't know about the Peeps thing, but I do bite the heads off of Gummy Bears and Animal Cookies:lick:

Al, take two of each and call me in the morning...

or the afternoon...

or the evening...

or possibly next week? :D

Randy,

Does that mean your favorite TV commercial is the Goldfish commercial? The wholesome snack that smiles back, until you bite their heads off.

db
26th March 2002, 03:34 PM
First of all, as a self-respecting former marine (Randy not me), I think he would bite the heads off, fire them up with a quad 50, and C-4 the remains!!

As for the new look, Marc....I just love the Maize and Blue! I would figure from Ohio, you would have used Maroon and White.

Go Blue!:bonk:

Marc

There are plenty of maroons here in Ohio, all right! But they're hard to catch and grind up for pigment.

If you really want to have fun with peeps - take 2 chicks, put a toothpick pointing outward, like a javelin, and put them in the microwave facing each other. This has become an Easter tradition at my house. PEEP jousting!

Betcha all try it!

Marc

Well, that was fun! Now - back to serious business... And a 'professional' interface... :thedeal:

PEEP jousting! I have to try that one!!!! Kids will think dad has lost it again, but I do believe they'll come around.

How in the world did you come up with that?????

:biglaugh: :bigwave: :vfunny:

SteelMaiden

I'm sure glad that I found the Cove! I used to think that I was the only twisted quality manager in the universe, but now I've found a whole bunch of soul-mates. Now, on to the PEEP jousting- Pinky Peep is set to meet PEEP Yellow in the final round of the tournament!

Ken K

Don't forget to give your peeps a chance to protect themselves. Ritz crackers make excellent shields.

What exactly do you do with the last peep standing? Knight him/her? :D

I wish I had come up with it myself. But reality is there was a bit on TV - and I actually think it was when CNN headline had nothing better to talk about - 5 or so years ago. A reporter had a "story" about PEEPS - what are they?...do they float?....interviews with people...do you eat them or just decorate with them...yada yada yada...and the finale was jousting! Just had to try it and the rest is history.

This years match will feature bunnies too!

Well - come on fess up....who's done it? (A word of advice....use a paper plate to make clean up much easier!)

Because of the passing of an ISO icon, some us may have missed the passing of three Hollywood legends:

Dudley Moore
Milton Berle
Billy Wilde

Think of the lives that these people have touched providing entertainment for millions. I'm not insensitive to the loss of an important person in the ISO arena, just trying to put it in some sort of perspective.

Working on Good Friday.
