Is there a list of companies registered to AS 9000 or AS 9100 available anywhere? I have checked SAE and a couple of other places, but could not find the info? Even just the numbers would be a big help.

Thanks BadgerMan I read the thread, but that information is just for DNV. I thought someone might know of some place that had a total number of registrations to AS. I suppose I don't need names, just the numbers.

Thanks again.

Hey Randy, even though you gave the wrong address, it triggered "world preferred” in my memory bank (I found something useful in there for once! :biglaugh: ). It gave me all the info I needed. So, thanks you did help me greatly.

Hey guys, sorry I missed this thread the other day, could have helped sooner. World Preferred is the only site I know of to locate registered organizations. You can view some registrars' sites but not all and some that allow a review can be tricky to navigate. UL has an open file easy to transistion through, etc. The only problem is that their database is set up geographically, so you will have to know the location of the org. in question. UL also list companies that have any certification, including product certification, hence the list is quite long of their clients.

Getting back to World Preferred... you will not find all organizations listed who have been registered to one or more ISO schemes, I know of a number that have not yet appeared in their website. An organization will be assurred of being listed if they register their certification(s) with the site operators.

This site, however, is the best ways of comparing apples to apples since it does allow for you to filter organizations by a variety of methods: industry, location (i believe) and by the standard 9001, 9002, 9003:94; 9k:2k as well as AS, TL, QS, etc.

The really big value if you locate a number of organizations within the same industry is that by clicking on the company's name you get the entire scope of their registration, an excellent stratagy for your marketing people to discuss with potential customers and for your purchasers to look at when deciding on possible suppliers, also.

All the best to every one in their respective quality paths.

One thing about World Preferred I found. I entered AS 9001, AS-9000, as 9000, As 9001 registered, and received totally different names and numbers. So If you are searching, you might want to check out as many combinations as possible. It is a great site though!

To my understanding the SAE maintains a register of Aerospace certified companies. I believe you will need to be a member to view it. After reading the minutes from American aerospace quality group; I found that over 75 companies are certified to new standard, my advice is monitor the SAE, IAQG and AAQG sites in the future for register of certified companies and their approval scopes. The AAQG is currently updating the membership program too, Please, keep abreast of new Aerospace standards & guides activities by monitoring these sites.
