The theories and practices of Deming, Juran, Kaizen and several others have been the spring-board of success for several organizations.

But at the same time they have lead to many controversies too.
Here is an article attached showing how empowerment of people, delegation of authority and the power to take decisions can the change a company for the better.

Wonder how many companies would take a a daring step as this.
Any comments?

Wow.

I can see several of the "guru's" philosophys here, some taken to the extreme.

The hardest part in undertaking something like this, as I think the article alluded to, is not so much the structural change (which I am sure was hard enough) as the change in attitudes. The higher the position in the organization, the more the attitude change must be in most cases, IMO.

Interesting article. Anyone have any first-hand experience with them? Is this really true?
