I need to know more about field returns in TS16949. I would like to see an example of a cotingency plan for field return if some one has one. I never did a contingency plan before and I need some input on the issue. a questions at hand: does the contingency plan require recall, warranty or customer in which is define as a engineering return. If someone can give me some insights I owe you one. TS is not specific on field returns. :thedeal:

you could identify the special characteristics(SC) for your product firstly, and evaluate what SC is related for recall concerns(consider those related with safety/regulatory items).
Contingency plan was used for impact limitation of nonconforming prdocut in field usage. you should identify what kind of defect need recall, and who would be involved, what activities should be done, who check tracing routine(product to material and material to product), who contact with customers for recall action start up etc.
