My company is contemplating getting registered for this and i would like to get a heads up on it Rick Goodson 9th September 2003, 10:45 PM grndad, Whether we agree with the price or not, the ISO/TS 16949 standard is copyright protected. It is also not that expensive, $25 for IATF members, $75 for nonmembers. Go to http://www.aiag.org/publications/quality/iatfquality.asp to order it. kevrac 26th May 2004, 11:37 AM Does anyone know where I can purchase a PDF copy of the standard? Al Dyer 26th May 2004, 11:41 AM kevrac, I believe a .pdf file would also be copyright infringement. I have found them years ago by using search engines but I was not sure of their validity. Al... kevrac 26th May 2004, 11:50 AM No, I found the information on another site, it can be purchased from the ISO website for $96.00. tomvehoski 26th May 2004, 11:51 AM You can purchase and download a PDF direct from ISO (www.iso.org) for 122 CHF (about $96). There are probably other sites that sell it as well (ANSI, AIAG, etc.) The QS and related standards are the only ones I have not seen in PDF. All of the ISO ones are available. There are several companies which sell standards who quite regularly advertise in the Google Ads. Even if you don't buy from them, click the link when you see it and check out the price. You may find it cheaper. Shop around. I have seen very big differences in prices and the product. I remember shopping for ISO 9001:2000 in downloadable pdf format a few years ago. I think I got it from Standards of Australia or something similar. Well, the file was limited to 2 printouts or something. As I remember there was even a special 'validation' file you had to download and install. I had a Mac, the 'validation file' only worked on a MickeySoft OS system. Luckily I keep one of those as well. Had a printer problem with the PC and burned up the number of copies and never did end up with a printed copy from that file. I ended up going to Canadian Standards Association. It was cheaper to buy and there were no other files to download and their were no restrictions on the number of copies I could print (typically not a big problem, but if you have printer problems quite frustrating). In fact, if you go to: http://Elsmar.com/iso9000.html , very near the bottom you will see: "CSA (Canadian Standards Association) = 416 747-4044 I get ALL my international specs from CSA. Good price, many disk files available, comprehensive. Ask them about their Plus series! They're really nice! ISO 9000 is ISO 9000 no matter what country you're in..." Back then I linked to them because of the reasons cited. Just some thoughts. Jaco 28th May 2004, 10:42 PM If anyone has a copy of ts 16949 and would like to share it please email it to me.
