Randy 1st October 2003, 11:05 AM You'll probably need to check some of the training providers that the RAB has listed. I'm pretty sure BSI has a couple. Quite honestly if you can get past the self effacing advertising the free videos offered by Perry Johnson contain good information. Good luck and expect to spend some $$$$$$$$$$$. Someone said something good about PJI? Wow! From most of the posts here I thought they were right up there with thieves and Enron execs! :vfunny: db 1st October 2003, 01:50 PM Well let me try this out. I am looking for ISO Traiining Videos or DVDs Can anyone help!!!!!! Welcome to the Cove Baptista! :bigwave: There are a lot of sources for videos. One quick question is what do you want the videos to do? Are they just overview videos (then Randy's suggestion might be applicable)? Are you looking for something more specific, such as Internal Auditing, or something like that? A good source for links to qualiy training is SearchManufacturing.com at: http://www.searchmanufacturing.com/Manufacturing/Quality/training.htm Randy 1st October 2003, 02:20 PM I went ahead and checked all of the RAB accredited training guru's...NADA, except for the 14K related video that BSI uses and the PJI stuff. I may have overlooked something though. Excel offers a video based training program, I didn't check the price, but a ride on a Soyuz to the space station would probably be cheaper. (Nothing against Excel) Baptista 2nd October 2003, 07:13 AM Thanks everyone for the in-put. Randy your right, looks like I can expect to spend a few $$$$$. We are currently certified to the old ISO just looking for a video on the new ISO. Maybe I'll make a video myself explaining what the new ISO is about. Wonder if I can win an oscar ha ha. Claes Gefvenberg 2nd October 2003, 07:29 AM Maybe I'll make a video myself explaining what the new ISO is about. Wonder if I can win an oscar ha ha. Or maybe a powerpoint presentation? It could be just as effective. Anyway, welcome to the Cove. :bigwave: /Claes RCBeyette 2nd October 2003, 08:21 AM Or maybe a powerpoint presentation? It could be just as effective. Ahh...Claes...stealing my thunder again! ;) Long live PowerPoint! Bullet-points, pictures, inserted movies, hyperlinks...next to Austrian chocolate, PowerPoint is my best friend. Both levels of my Quality Orientation are in PowerPoint. As are all of my training modules on everything from auditing to flow charting. Even our production areas are beginning to develop their own training modules in PowerPoint. - Skipper Girdle-Tush (sorry...go visit the thread on Respect for Elders to understand) :vfunny: db 2nd October 2003, 09:35 AM Ahh...Claes...stealing my thunder again Long live PowerPoint! Uh, excuse me! I really don't think Baptista can win the Oscar with a PowerPoint presentation! Wes Bucey 2nd October 2003, 12:28 PM Uh, excuse me! I really don't think Baptista can win the Oscar with a PowerPoint presentation! :rolleyes:Sure he can, if he also transfers it to film or DVD and exhibits it at a Los Angeles theater by December 31. The tough part is getting all those Academy members to sit through a screening and give them hefty inducements like a glittery star-studded party with hefty "gift bags." (That's gift bags the size of Hefty trash bags filled with expensive baubles like Rolexes, Nikon cameras, and Palm Pilots with Blackberry subscription prepaid for one year!) db 2nd October 2003, 12:29 PM Sure he can, if he also transfers it to film or DVD and exhibits it at a Los Angeles theater by December 31. Well, I guess I sit corrected. :o ges27 10th October 2003, 04:13 PM Baptista, try this site http://theinformedoutlook.com/main/videos/ I've used the "ISO 9000:2000 Basics: What Employees Need to Know" video with great success. The video lasts about 24 minutes and gives a great overview of IS09001 basics. Greg Claes Gefvenberg 13th October 2003, 04:30 AM Hey Greg. Welcome to the Cove. :bigwave: /Claes Douglas E. Purdy 13th October 2003, 09:31 AM If you want a start on a PowerPoint, I offer one that I began but only got through 6.2.2. I called it ISO-9000 Then & Now. I decided to place my effort in the Now, and forget about the Past. Doug P.S. Sorry, but I have tried 3x to attach PowerPoint with no success! wallyqc 27th October 2004, 09:24 PM If you want a start on a PowerPoint, I offer one that I began but only got through 6.2.2. On the ISO then and Now presentation, did you ever finish the Now? If so, I'd like to look at it. Walt Douglas E. Purdy 28th October 2004, 09:33 AM Walt, No I have not gone any further in that presentation. Doug Greg B 28th October 2004, 07:26 PM If you want a start on a PowerPoint, I offer one that I began but only got through 6.2.2. I called it ISO-9000 Then & Now. Sorry, but I have tried 3x to attach PowerPoint with no success! :applause: Well done, Douglas You probably know that I love Powerpoint as a training medium and this is an excellent use of the PP package and its tools . I'd love to see the end product. Douglas E. Purdy 29th October 2004, 10:25 AM Walt & Greg B., I stopped the preparation of this presentation with the belief that 4 years after the revision to the standard this would not be needed by anyone. This coupled with the understanding that we should be coming around to another change to the standard - why bother with an obsolete version. If there is a need, I could probably work on this in my off hours on the weekend. Let me know. Thanks, Doug |
