I have been looking into the requirements to get NADCAO accredited and the cost involved. There seems to be very little information about the payoff versus the expense of a NADCAP accreditation. Can someone share their stories with me and maybe give me some guidance before we spend a bunch of money for nothing.

Russ,
NADCAP accreditation is a MANDATE from some aerospace OEMs for certain special process, such as NDT, welding, heat treat.
As far as I understand if you are required by one of your customers to get NADCAP accreditation, you need to go through PRI http://www.pri.sae.org/NADCAP/nadcap.htm.
They are the only ones that can give you the accreditation and I am sure they would love to send you a proposal for the services
