I work for a small manufacturing company that utilizes a nonconformance system that is paper driven and requires leg work for distribution and implementation. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a web based system or share an electronic distribution system that may be tied to an Access database.
Thanks in advance

Yeah. There are some access applications around. The following links lead to but a few of them
Nonconformance systems:
A Simple CA (Corrective Action) Database (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=7305)
Paperless Corrective Action (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=6387)
Root cause analysis software (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=3163)
You should also have a look at :
The Free Files (http://elsmar.com/pdf_files/) directory.
And to top that off, I know that many members have put their own applications together.

The posts that Clause has listed are very helpful and contain a lot of great information. I am attaching one that I have been playing around with. Please give me any feeback that you might have.
Sorry, the code does not work properly when I upload it. I will look at it tomorrow and see what is going wrong.

Fatboy,
We use an Access database, which is networked, through our plant.
We raise the nonconformity on the database via a form with a self-generating unique number. This in turn produces a report, which I call an “Enotice” in preview format. Once opened you simply click the right mouse button and at the bottom of the drop down menu there is a send option.
The send option then acts like any ordinary email with the “Enotice” showing as an attachment. The Enotice is forwarded to all interested parties who complete the report within the database itself.

You can also buy a database that has N/C, document control and internal audits. This sort of thing is v. good if you do not have the technical know how on site for designing your own. I wish we could design our own but short of that I am evaluating a package called ISOEasy. They are UK based and here is the link to their website. Total package costs about £1,500 Sterling. They will send you out a free demo.

Good luck in your quest. Let us know how you get on.
