Happy Holidays to all the "Covers".
We just completed an audit with the CCCF (China approval agency). They made a couple minor findings in our ISO 9001-2000 quality system. I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with any different views from other agencies/registars that they found odd.

I've never heard of the CCCF before. Please tell us more about them and what they did.

The CCCF is a Chinesse approval agency for fire protection equipment. In order for my company to sell goods in China, we had to have five (5) auditors for China come to our facility and do an on-site audit of our QMS and our manufacturing procedures. They brought up some different/off the wall suggestions that they felt would improve our QMS as it relates to ISO. I ws wondering if anyone else had had vistors from outside the US come in and offer "suggestions" that were different than that of what is required of ISO.

Brad, our China facility has CCC approval....what kinds of strange things got brought up during your audit? I'll see if anything similar happened in our China facility.

There was one that involved our review of continual improvement. They felt that our current policy of upper managment reviewing inputs on a monthly basis was not "to the spirit" of 8.4. I was a little confused by this but thought it best not to argue over it. There was also another point that they stated we had not trained our entire work force on ISO 9001-2000. When I asked for more detail, they stated that we should have some written documentation signed by each and every employee stating that they had been trained to the new ISO standard. It would not be that big a deal since we are under 200 employees but what would be the course for companies with say 500 or 600 employees? I am thinking that a company wide meeting with the president informing employees of our new certification and the effects should suffice.

Hi Brad,
Our facility is audited annually by the CCC (either by one of their government delagations or by a contracted auditor). They have never suggested that all of our employees receive ISO training, in fact, I don't believe that I have ever heard any auditor say that (we are about 5500 employess, so maybe that is why). Anyway, as long as your employees meet your own internal training requirments I don't see how any auditor could expect you to train them on ISO as well. I should like to see THAT clause cited :)

We just finished our CCC audit and have been requested to have copy of the European Fuel Tank Standards/Requirement Spec GB 18296-2001, in English, in house. Does anyone know where I can find a copy?

From a link on that site, wrt the standard in question (http://www.esimcom.com/aak2_0_1_2/simcom_about/MoreTXInfo.asp?ST=GB+18296-2001):
Thank you for your interest regarding translation of a GB Standards or, CNCA Implementation Guides from Simplified Chinese to English. For the particular GB standard you have selected, a formal English version does not exist. However, SIMCOM International can provide accurate, technical translations.
