I had to fill up last night and paid $3.30/gallon, which I thought was really cheap.

I am really suprised to see so many people with cheap gas. Maybe I should move?:D

you call 3.30 expensive???

then hear that, we buy the gas by litre in Turkey. but I did the math and we pay

$8,57/gallon

how do u feel now??

Wow $8.57/gallon! Does the turkish government have high taxes on gas?

I thought my $3.30 was cheap (inexpensive), I am used to paying a lot more, but definetly not that much. I am shocked by all the people with gas in the $1-2 range.

Luckily I only drive my car on the weekends to the store for food. Sometimes I wonder why I even have a car.

You know, it's funny. In the USA, we pay $8.00 for a gallon of bottle water, but complain about $3.00 for gas...

According some newspaper articles, that water comes straight out of a tap.
Adding value consists of putting it into a plastic bottle, then putting a nice (healthy impressive) label on it and voila! Water anyone?

Here in country Victoria, Australia I paid $1.31 per litre yesterday.

Water - now there's something different altogether! If we don't get serious rain in the rest of our spring months there won't be any water to come out of the taps where I live.

We are holding out for a "superpipe" to be built to bring water from the north of the state to here in central Victoria.

Prediction by our Water Authority is that by March next year our dam will down to only 5% full without it. Scary stuff :mg:
Anyone want to ship some over??? :nopity:

Yep! have to agree with my Aussie colleague, here in New South Wales this week, I also paid $1.31/Lt.
About the water, we had some terrific storms recently and the dam is powering on at 23%.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the US gallon equate to 3.79 litres not the 4.55 used here (UK Gallon).

Incidently Today Diesel is £1.05/UK Gallon (rate $2.05 to the pound) so approx 8.20 $/US Gallon - OUCH:mad:
