:frust: Can anyone provide any information on the Viston Customer Specific regarding MMOG (Master Global Materials Management Operations Guidelines / Logistics Evaluation)? Is this used by the Big 3? in Europe? Globally? Will auditors be looking for compliance?
Thanks,
LMM

I believe, currently, it is only a requirement for suppliers to Ford and Visteon.
It may be added to the other Big 3`s (especially DCX) in the future. MMOG is auditable because it is a customer specific requirement. It is a global document if you supply to the customers that require MMOG.
We just did a Gap Analysis on MMOG and found that we already complied to 99% of the requirements. It was just a matter of documenting how we complied. Hope this helps. I am sure other covers will also chime in.

Ford's document is called Materials Management Operations Guideline and it replaced the old Materials Manufacturing Site Assessment (MMSA) in North America about 3 years ago. Our STA in Cologne still accepts the yearly MMSA self-assessment for European plants. Subject matter is logistics (storage, transport etc., but also handling ASN's and other "paperwork"). If you do business with FoMoCo at all, you probably fulfill requirements anyway. DC in Europe means Mercedes and they have never heard of MMOG. Same goes for Opel/GM.
