According to http://www.iaob.org/certif_bodies/isots02_usa.shtml#, the IATF cancelled the contract with ZSQ, a German Registrar for ISO/TS-16949:2002 certifications.

D.Scott 12th May 2004, 03:33 PM Very interesting - I wonder why they would do that this late in the game. I may be wrong but I was thinking they were one of the early ones. Dave The Taz! 12th May 2004, 04:13 PM I think there was a statement there that the IAFT was excluding the semi-conductor systems. Wes Bucey 12th May 2004, 05:56 PM I think there was a statement there that the IAFT was excluding the semi-conductor systems. If you or your organization currently does business with, or is contemplating doing business with, ZSQ, then it seems to me fair to go straight to the horse's mouth and ask them WHY they were "canceled." ZSQ Zertifizierungsstelle für Qualitätsmanagementsysteme des Kraftfahrt-Bundesamtes Postfach 12 01 53 01002 Dresden Germany Contact : Dr. Frank Uhlemann Tel : +49 351 473 85 23 Fax : +49 351 473 85 36 E-mail : zsq@kba.de (zsq@kba.de) Internet : www.kba.de (http://www.kba.de/) My German is absolutely lousy after forty years of rust, but I sure didn't see any mention of this cancellation on the ZSQ website. My German is in a little bit more fresh condition. ;) In "Aktuelles" I read: New tasks we take and economical conditions requiring, KBA and its Certification department have to concentrate on its main duties: - certification of car and car parts manufacturers according to ISO 9001:2000 ... ... That's why KBA at beginning of this year decided to not continue in certification according to QS-9000 and ISO/TS 16949:2002. I don't find any "IATF punishment" behind it, but should I? :lmao: D.Scott 13th May 2004, 01:09 PM "certification of car and car parts manufacturers according to ISO 9001:2000" 16949 and QS ARE the automotive systems. I am not one of their customers but it makes me wonder. I guess maybe I am just nosey. Dave Sebastian 14th May 2004, 04:45 AM I know, there are car parts manufacturers, which start from ISO and then go to TS2. Simply, they want go this way, because their customers do not require TS2. I find it as PR-leaded information, so it is formulated in "possitive" way. SilverHawk 14th May 2004, 10:59 AM Heard that there is another German CB operating in Malaysia whom have provided inhouse training for the internal auditors after being audited for ISO/TS 16949 Initial Auidt yet was scotch-free..... Yet there is another German CB whom have been providing consultancy and training under the same corporate body and no actions have been taken... |
