There are 25.4 mm/inch, so I think there are 0.0254 micrometer per microinch. JerryStem 18th May 2004, 09:36 AM We measure plating thicknesses in microinches and microns. I usually convert by: microinches * .0254 = microns microns / .0254 = microinches Also, 1 micron = roughly 40u" but you get a small rounding error.
