Dear Greg,
Guides 54 and 55 dealt with the operation of laboratory accreditation systems. They were replaced by Guide 58 which is now the current operational document. An old copy of Guide 25 might refer to Guide 55.
Guide 55 was withdrawn in 1993 and replaced by Guide 58. Guide 55 was titled "Testing Laboratory accreditation systems - General Recommendations for Operation". The other standard that was incorporated into the new Guide 58 was "Guide 54 Testing laboratory accreditation systems-General recommendations for the acceptance of accreditation bodies".
