Do I need metrics (or numbers) assigned to every QMS process I have identified to meet ISO9001:2000 4.1? Can I have defined objectives (not necessarily measureable), inputs, outputs, activities and resources?

(That would be somewhat contrary to the theory of least constraints.) By "objectives" it would appear you are talking about "process objectives" as opposed to "quality objectives?" If the "process objectives" are your "quality objectives," then they must be measureable (5.4.1). Doug |
