I am interested in knowing the process of certifying a company. If someone could detail it out. I have worked as Internal auditor but have to take the help of Lead auditor and do not know which steps will lead to full certification.

OK,
I'll get it started.
First, keep it as SIMPLE as possible. You can always add more later.
Write a basic quality policy. Nothing flowery.
Write a Quality manual (just regurgitate the standard and everywhere it says "the organization" replace it with the name of your company. You will probably want to add a little bit of detail in some areas, but this will give you a start)
Write Procedures to cover the Six REQUIRED procedures
Control of documents (4.2.3
Control of Quality records (4.2.4)
Internal audit (8.2.2)
Control of non-conforming product (8.3)
Corrective action (8.5.2)
Preventive action (8.5.3)
In addition, add procedure documents for all other elements that apply to your business.
Number everything to match the numbering of the standard
Write work instructions as necessary
Number forms as necessary
Internal audit once a month making sure to cover the whole standard, every department, at least once each year.
Hold a management review once every quarter or once every 6 months (your choice)
Most importantly, If you pay the registrar, you will get registered regardless of what you do, so take it easy and don't sweat it!
As you are going through the process, try to design your system so you get actual benefit out of it.
Good luck,
Carl-
