Hello huutien, and welcome to the Cove :bigwave:

Nobody knows for certain of course, but judging from the way the electronics and software industries keep evolving, I would say that it looks good. As for Software Quality Assurance in particular, I have seen enough flawed softwares to believe that your services will be in demand.

Good luck :agree:

Welcome!!!

I have to agree with Cleas here. One of the big, and almost universal, complaints from us end users is the lack of quality planning and execution by software folks.

I also agree that we do not know what the future brings, but I (and lots of others, I am sure) hope that software quality assurance will become a big growth field.

Good luck!!!!

Hello Tien,

Consultants? Not really, count us more like friends to discuss ideas with :agree1:. SPC and Six Sigma? I suggest taking part in the Six Sigma (http://elsmar.com/Forums/forumdisplay.php?f=92) & SPC Monitoring and Statistical Tools (http://elsmar.com/Forums/forumdisplay.php?f=19) forums.

Hello huutien,

Ok, I'll start. Apart from the obvious need to know about quality assurance the business and your processes as such, I would suggest:

:read: Project management skills
:read: Problem solving / Quality tools
:read: Maybe a look in the thread Data Center Audit (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=5590&highlight=Audit) can spark a few ideas?

There is more of course. I'm sure others will add to the list
