I had a form somewhere I liked.. but apparently have lost it now.. (surprised I even know where my head is).. anyway.. do you use a management review check off sheet.. or some other sort of one page symbol of their attendance?..

I list who was there and was not. As well, if there is lack of a quorum (>50% of expected attendees), the meeting is postponed.

Doesn't QSI come with some database module for management review? :D Ugh...I felt that shockwave all the way up here! :bonk:

TD,

We have a set program for our management review (Quality Steering Committee here), with the list of items we review each time. Every team member has a review book, with this listing in it. Each person reports on their area of responsibility (ies) as it gets to their turn. Minutes are produced of the meeting for the entire plant, which includes a roll call of the committee. We don't meet unless 90% of the team can make it, and the boss usually ensures this will happen.

Sorry to be so long to get back at you. HMFIC is in town today, and have been working with the area managers doing some powerpoint animations.

RcBeyette: Hey Rc.. you know.. you MAY be right.. I didn't even look to see what was in the QSI/ibs module for management review. I will check that out too.

Joe/Marka, and others.. : I really appreciate all the feedback. I like the variety of forms. Good to see someone finally call me TD, instead of getting my TrailName (TownDawg) wrong.. I see a lot of folks put towndog, or houndog.

NOTE: And no, I won't translate HMFIC for you. ;)

You folks might want to say what standard your form is applicable to. I'm assuming all of these satisfy ISO 9001:2000.

Hi All,

I posted this procedure
http://elsmar.com/Forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1579

In this thread last year
http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=5988

It is ISO9K2K and it was the most simple way we could come up with a procedure that can also be used as an agenda.

Marc: Sorry about that. ISO/TS-16949:2002.

Marka: I went back and looked, and really like yours the best. Thanks!

Well thank you. What an unexpected compliment :o . And you are more than welcome. ( not sure where I came up with it. I probably stole it from a few examples I found here and there and compiled what I liked )

I am not an expert on good management review, or much else. However, I wanted to reply to the question you posted.

ISO 9001:2000 identifies several inputs to management review. Most of these are in the form of "the results of these actions shall provide input to management review."

If you have a list of these required inputs, you are half way there. There are many templates and examples posted throughout the forum threads and at least one in http://elsmar.com/pdf_files/.

It is notable that a management review meeting should raise one important question: is the quality management system effective? This question is what management review should revolve around. Instead of looking at specific corrective actions, for example, you want to look at the total number of corrective actions, response time for the different builders of the corrective action as it goes through the company, etc.

Look at assessing the effectiveness of the quality management system as the goal behind management review. Might even include this as a check-box at the end of whatever forms you use, objective evidence and all.
