Hi does anyone have a detailed content comparison list of differences and similarities on VDA, Qs and TS ? One of our plant is QS9000 certified, one is TS16949 certified, but we have been asked recently by an auto customer to audit per VDA 6.3. I think there should be some audit tems ( and its contents ) are the same. To save time on document preparations, I am wondering if there is any comparison list for me to use.

Thanks, I appreciate it. However, as many know, there is a HUGE difference between TS-1999 and TS-2002; the standard changed quite a bit in that revision. What I'm looking for is a comparison between TS16949:2002 and VDA. Has anyone seen THAT animal?? Thanks!

Does VDA 6.3 only refer to the process audit portion or the whole standard. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated and if there is a comparision between TS 16949 and VDA 63 I would really appreciate knowing where I could get it.

I do have the German VDA6.3 Fragenbogen, but I am now looking for the translated version of that similar but then probably called VDA6.3 Questionnaire. Is there maybe someone who could help me with a proper translated version? Many thanks in advance.

You can buy an English version (hard copy or download) from the VDA website.

The material is copyrighted.

Several companies (including one of my clients) have used the 6.3 to build their own process audit and have it readily available on their site.

The formulas for VDA are in band 4 of VDA 6 (I currently do not have a copy of this "Band").

There is no big gap between VDA band 4 and AIAG SPC manual (QS9000 is an obsolete standard).

You are correct VDA 6.3 is a process audit.

TS should be compared to VDA 6.1 (systems audit).

Yes, you could use VDA 6.3 as part of your TS process audit, but not for TS internal audit.

In the back of VDA 6.1, there is a matrix showing the links between ISO 9001 and VDA 6.1.
