Who ever thought that telling someone to "go fly a kite" would sound insulting? Its a fabulous idea. If its been years since you've tried it I suggest you give it another try.

The wind blows the dust from your brain. As you let the kite out it takes your tensions of the day with it. The wind makes the kite dance like it has a life of its own and the pull of the line makes you feel like you are one with with it. You breathe deep and feel refreshed. You smile and feel like a kid for a while. You can get all geeked out and marvel at the changing currents of the wind, the clouds, a rainbow if you're lucky, the physics of the flight, how the different kite shapes each fly so differently... You can fly a stunt kite and learn new skills to weave lovely patterns in the sky... if you're really good you can fly more than one at a time (I'm so not there yet). You can dangle spinners and wind socks from your line to decorate the sky. You can sail a ferry up the line. If you have the gear you can hook yourself to a giant kite and use the wind to power you on your board (surf, snow, skate - your choice). Yup - I highly recommend you go fly a kite. It would be difficult not to enjoy it.
