It's almost that time for getting your classic car out of the garage! I hope you kept it in the garage all winter?
Check the tire pressure, examine the tires after you have moved it from the spot you had left it for the winter. Make sure there isn't any bald spots.
Check for rodents in your engine, your passenger compartment, and trunk.
Turn on the heat for a brief time to make sure it is working properly. Turn on the wipers, wash, blinkers, check the headlights, and look at the exhaust while you let it warm up. After moving it about ten feet, put it in park, and let it idle. Do this for about ten minutes at least, then take it slowly down the road.
Taking care of your car is essential for a hazard free drive.

Good things to consider. Being that I sorta live in the country, keeping mice out of the garage is a never ending battle (I use several "live capture" traps which I check every couple of days). Although I don't have a "classic" car, I have to "...Check for rodents in your engine, your passenger compartment, and trunk..." at least once a week. About a month ago a mouse made a nest in my heater/AC squirrel cage fan. It cost a couple hundred US$ for the dealer to remove the HVAC assembly and fan and clean it out.

One word of advice: If you have a "classic" car or other vehicle you seldom use or store for the winter, it's good to make a habit of starting the car at least once every 3 to 4 weeks and running it for 15 to 20 minutes to keep everything lubed. I even do that with my lawn mowers over the winter.

Keeping mice out of the garage is always a chore unless you use rat poison in each corner of the garage, and if you have any car just sittling in the garage like my convertible, you would put mothballs around the tires and some inside the car by the heating vent if you choose to prevent rodents coming into the car...never mind the smell...

This method works every time! It's been tested for ten years now.

Still waiting to get my bench seat covered, but the locals want a fortune to do it. Can you believe one place wants just about one thousand dollars to do one bench seat? I thought that quote was in yen, not dollars!!

I don't know. It's 30 degrees here tonight in southern Ohio and 60 degree days. It won't be long though.

Try 26 for the nights, and only about 50 here in wisconsin.

We're pretty close - Or were around 12 April. Personally I like the cold weather all in all. It's supposed to be about 80 here today.

As to your bench seat - Yeah - I can believe the price. What type of material?
