Good day Cove family;
As many of you may realize by now, ISO 26262 is gaining prominence (emphasis) within the automotive sector. I am become quite well versed in that regard, but would certainly enjoy being involved in discussions/Q&A, etc...

Let's get started !

Be well.

John, Do you have any specific details in how ISO26262 is being addressed in manufacturing thru decomposition? It seems that from a DFMEA, and PFMEA perspective, and attribute with an ASIL assigned to it must be a critical characteristic and given appropriate verification measures in manufacturing. However, there is very little detail published on this topic. As the industry adapts to ISO26262 finally, from my perspective, it seems that many have ignored Part 7 "Production, operation, service and decommissioning" and focused mainly on development. It would be useful to start sharing information in the name of safety. Very interested in Manufacturing tool classification and qualification from a FuSa point of view. thanks! jimi
