What is difference between a Corporate Quality Manual and TQM?

Trucy

Dear,

I have just been assigned to be a QA engineer in my company and I never done this job.

Please explain to me: "What is the difference between a Corporate Quality Manual and TQM?"

Besides a Corporation Quality Manual, what other documents can get a Certificate to ISO 9001:2008?

Thanks and hope to hear your answer.

:thanx:

Hi Trucy - welcome.

may I ask - what were you doing before becoming a QA Engineer?

The difference between a Quality Manual and TQM is that:
A Quality Manual is a document that outlines or describes your quality management system
TQM is a management concept that focuses on areas like error reduction, customer satisfaction, training, and supply chain management often using the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle continually improve.

A quality manual may be based on TQM.

As far as registering to ISO9001:20008 - there's a lot more than just a quality manual... you have to prove to a 3rd party auditor that you are following your procedures and striving for continual improvement. In many companies this is a major culture change.

There is a heck of a lot of information on implementing ISO9001 here on the forum - Dig in and please come back to us with specific questions.

TQM is a journey.

Quality Manual is perhaps a valid ticket to claim your legitimately board the vehicle to destination.

Perhaps... means one can travel without the boarding pass, or one can catch a wrong train?:bigwave:

Assuming you mean a 'TQM Manual', possibly none. They may be the same thing but just with different titles.
