Im trying to set up a Due Diligence procedure for my organization , wherein we deal in project management.

Look through a thing called the Project Engineering Management Body of Knowledge. You will find various articles, forms and checklists there you can use to get yourself going.

Doing a SWAT analysis and using a consequence and likelihood matrix will get you through assessing the risk in the various aspects of the project. There is one in the Post Attachments list in the narrow green slot at the top of the page.
