Important procedures and clauses for company which provides equipment rental

Dear Forum members,

My new company is dealing with equipment rental business. Currently this company does not any adopt any Quality System in its operation such as ISO or TS16949. I have several questions that require advice from all

1) What is the most suitable Quality System than can suit to this type of business. If ISO, which ISO system is the most suitable one,eg ISO9000,ISO9001 or any other system?

Previously i am from automotive part vendor which adopt TS16949:2009.
Basically i dont have any working experience in other than automotive industry .

2) secondly,let say, the most suitable one is ISO9001,How to start implementing this system?. Please advice me which clause and procedure is important and which is not important in ISO9001 for my company operation. I am really confuse !. Your support is appreciated

ISO 9001 is the standard to use - ISO 9000 and 9004 are supporting/references which you should use. You can only be registered to 9001.

You cannot be registered to ISO/TS 16949 since you don't make automotive parts.

I suggest you find a good course on ISO 9001 implementation, since that will answer your questions.
