"Level of Control" over Suppliers - How do you Interpret and Accomplish

How do you guys interpret and accomplish this? Can you give me an example of control?

I take it you're referring to 4.6.2b. Your wording is slightly different from the standard, but I think the level of control, as it says, depends on your supplied product and the supplier. For instance, to become one of our suppliers, your company has to meet certain minimum standards (such as meet minimum product quality standards and either have or be working on a QS9K-type quality system). Once on the "list", you must maintain those standards and supply data to indicate that your product is still acceptable. Also, vendor audits by us are a practice that allows us to check the progress of the quality system. These are just some ideas....
