Please Help! Confidence in attribute testing

This is probably STATS 101 but I need help knocking the dust off my stats book.

How do I determine the number of actuations needed to be 90, 95, or 99% confident that the product will not jam in 99% of all intended actuations?

Knowns:
Data is Attribute
Actuation life needed 900
Each product can actuate 10 times before end of life

I appreciate the help.

Re: Confidence in attribute testing

I'm not sure what your "knowns" mean, but your to answer your question; you need to use the exact binomial equation...

Bev D,
Thanks I tried getting this equation to work, but I couldn't figure it out. Can you please help on how to use the equation?
Thanks again
