Any ISO/TS Certified Supplier Auditors Out There?
Friends,
I am an (AIAG/Plexus) certified ISO/TS Supplier Auditor. I have attended the certification class, the recertification class; now my cert is about to expire, so I got the call from AIAG again for a 3-day recertification class + exam. Fee $1,195.00. (I am lucky, we are an AIAG member).
My question: If you are an ISO/TS Supplier Auditor, are you going to renew your certification? You can post a response or PM me if you like. I am very curious given the state the automotive industry is in.
Thanks.
Stijloor.

Re: Any ISO/TS Certified Supplier Auditors Out There?
I won't be recertifying, and not only because my employment doesn't require it!
Based on past experience, it would be tough to justify sitting through the kind of training they dish out, IMHO. The last session, while 'interesting' wasn't much use to anyone doing 'supplier audits' and was all about the CB process - with too much emphasis on getting scope right, writing non-conformities etc. And then the test.....No, I've not been impressed with the 'training' I've received under this guise. Certainly not $1200 worth......

Please clarify, do you work for a Registrar? My understanding is that in order to gain the status of LA, you must work for a Registrar and conduct 3rd party audits.
I am a certified supplier auditor. The reason for this is that I conduct internal audits and supplier audits for some of my Clients. The other one is to meet certain OEM internal auditor training requirements. Not a waste of money for me. At least thus far...
