Question Open Source Software - OpenOffice vs. LibreOffice

If you must choose between two open source software, will you pick LibreOffice? Why or why not?

Re: OpenOffice vs LibreOffice

LibreOffice is the new name for the OpenOffice project since SUN was bought by Oracle in Jan 2010 and Oracle doesn't want to support OpenOffice in a way the OOcommunity assessed as sufficient for the OO project (see Wikipedia reference-linkLibreOffice -> History).

So the current version of the OpenSource Office Suite is LibreOffice which would remain OpenSource. Oracle announced in April 2011 that the commercial development of OpenOffice would be terminated.

Best regards,

Barbara
