Please Help! Need help in determining Pull testing requirements - Personalized earplugs

We manufacture personlized earplugs with thethers and the ear plug must stand a pull test of 50 lbs or greater.

The problem I have is that if the test fails the earplug is damaged and the person has to have a new earplug made is there a way to do the varification without destorying the earplug?
