This could be interpreted as "Can we apply the management philosophy of ISO 9001 to primary school kids", in other words could a primary school obtain ISO 9001 registration?
|
That's the way I took the question. I agree with Colpart, if this is the meaning then the answer is a definite yes. As a matter of fact, I can see a possibility of involving the kids in developing parts of the system. This would give them an introduction on whatever level you decided. Sounds to me like a win - win answer to beh anderson's question.
Good luck.
Dave

Re: ISO 9001:2000 In Education
there have been threads for ISO 9001 in education in the past. Try a search, or look to the bottom of the page and see if there are some related threads.
Schools offer a service, ISO 9001 is for organizations offering goods or services, yes it can be appropriate.

Re: ISO 9001:2000 In Education
If what you meant is ISO 9001 certification, quite a number of schools in Malaysia are currently certified and they ranged from pre-schools to Universities and from public to privately owned.
Search with 'ISO 9001 + IWA2' as key words.

It is not that a particular clause is applicable, it is that the standard can be used to help control the process of educating children.
