Question Document Control and Agile Product Lifecycle Management software

I have a document control question which I would like to ask.

In our QMS we use Agile as the Product Lifecycle Management software. With this when a document such as a procedure is updated we use Agile to control this, providing sign-off and revision control.
My question would be this. For QMS documents should there be a separate distribution depository that is maintained which is separate from the Agile system? Or should the Agile system be used solely for this purpose?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Document Control and Agile

Why keep 2 systems? Agile can handle your QA documents. The Qa manual is the top level product and all the others fall in line based on their hierachy.

Re: Document Control and Agile

I agree with Andy. It make no sense to use 2 systems when 1 will work.

Yes well that's pretty much how I saw the whole thing too. So that is the direction I will be taking . Thanks.

Re: Document Control and Agile Product Lifecycle Management software

Could any of you Agile users tell me if Agile currently has the capability to "seamlessly" integrate training requirements from new/revised documents? By this I mean once a new/revised document is released, that emails automatically go out to all concerned to train on the affected document. The affected individuals then take a quick, on-line test to ensure they understand the changes. If they pass, there training record gets updated automatically. There are other providers out there with this exact capability & I'm looking to see if Agile currently offers this functionality.
