Please Help! TS 16949 Audit Minor non conformance - Outside Calibration Laboratory

Hi All,

I am looking for peoples opinion on a minor non conformance my company has just been given. The non conformance was raised because our external laboratory, who are ISO17025 compliant have calibrated test equipment for me that doesn't fall within their scope & therefore they cannot release a UKAS cert against the calibration. The lab believe that the adhere to the clause because they can trace their equipment they have used to calibrate our test equipment back to UKAS standards. What's your take on this?
